NYLON. This item looks great, however it is made of nylon, so it's very rough, hard, plastic feeling. "Feels" like a lunch bag. Not "gift" worthy, which is why I purchased it.

Only thing keeping this from a full 5 stars is the side pockets being too small to fit a water bottle in. Otherwise love it and would recommend to anyone.

Good quality and great function. A little smaller than expected, but that's on me for not checking measurements.
